SERVICES PROVIDED

Methadone Maintenance

Methadone maintenance (MMT) involves the continual administering and dispensing of Methadone at a relatively stable dosage level, in conjunction with provision of appropriate social and medical services.  Realistically the only appropriate measure of time in treatment is how long it takes the individual to overcome a life of narcotic addiction.

Counseling Services

We provide individual, group or family counseling services which include:

·        Assessment

·        Treatment planning

·        Ongoing counseling based on individual needs

·        After care and discharge planning

We also will make referrals for other services that the patient might need in the areas of medical treatment, job training, legal assistance, financial assistance and Medicaid benefits.

Drug Testing

Urine drug screens are used as a tool to provide clinical guidance in patient care.  Specimen collection procedures are conducted in a therapeutic and humane environment. Results are used to monitor patient progress, to assist with the care of the patient and to help in the creation/modification of the treatment plan.

Medically Supervised Withdrawal

When and if a patient feels ready to leave our program, a medically supervised withdrawal will be arranged by the clinical team. The patient is carefully assessed after each dosage reduction to be sure he/she is not having any symptoms of opiate withdrawal. The patient has the right to discontinue the withdrawal plan at any time.

Detoxification Program (California Only)

Our short term detoxification program utilizes methadone, a narcotic replacement therapy in decreasing medically determined dosage levels for a period of 21 days. The 21 Day Detox Program is to provide a therapeutic treatment program in an outpatient setting that offers medication to reduce or eliminate opiate drug dependency as rapidly as is practical and medically appropriate along with individual counseling as strong rehabilitation component. To enroll in the 21 Day Detox Program you will need to be showing visible signs of withdrawal, an opiate positive urine drug screen at the time of admission and have a picture ID.

Courtesy Dosing

Patients can be dosed while traveling or vacationing at other methadone clinics that are not affiliated with Mission Treatment and vice versa. Patients will generally provide 5 days advance notice of there traveling plans and counseling staff will assist in setting up the courtesy dose. If you are interested in courtesy dosing at one of our clinics, please contact  the clinical director at the specified clinic for details.

Jail Dosing - (California Only

Whenever possible our clinics have a cooperative agreement with local jails to encourage continuity of treatment for incarcerated Methadone Maintenance patients. Upon receiving notification of a patient’s incarceration and if an agreement is in place, a detoxification regime which will lessen withdrawal symptoms can begin.  Due to the numerous restrictions that are in place at the detention facilities, we can not guarantee we will gain access to medicate patients while they are incarcerated.
